INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL:

Internal  Quality  Assurance  Cell  was established  in  the academic  year  2003-2004  after the  first  accreditation on  the basis of the guidelines given by  National Assessment and  Accreditation Council (NAAC). The IQAC  was strengthened as post NAAC strategy to enhance the  Teaching-Learning  activities in  the College and  identify and internalize “ Best practices ” in education in the campus. In the year, 2010, the College  was reassessed by NAAC and got Re-Accrediatated with “A’ grade.
 
IQAC works  towards improving  and maintaining the quality  of education, identifying and suggesting modifications in the teaching aids, developing suitable  infrastructure and offering  suggestions for new self-financing courses. The IQAC has been conscientiously involved in helping the  Principal and other  committees by offering  valuable suggestions and  measures in order to have consistency in sustaining the quality of education.

Thus, IQAC is an effective and efficient internal coordinating and monitoring mechanism.

Quality policy:
Quality as innate excellence, as simply the best, Quality based on measurable attributes, student centric approach, and value-based approach has taken place within the administration and is determined by the learner's actions. In order to produce real benefit for the development of the field of science following factors are considered such as quality commitment, quality responsibility, quality staff and resources, quality data and information, quality practices, and quality improvement etc.

  • To achieve global standards of excellence in higher education, activities namely Teaching, Research, Consultancy, Outreach and Continuing Education are in compliance with statutes and regulations of the institute.
  • To comply expectations of all our stakeholders in the above activities through continuous evaluation, innovation and improvement in our core and support functions by effective risk management.

a) To ensure continuous improvement in the entire operations of the institution.
b) To assure  stakeholders  connected with higher education – namely,  students, parents, teachers, staff, would-be  employers, funding agencies
     and society in general - the accountability of the institution for its own quality and probity.

C) Functioning of IQAC :

1. 
IQAC  meetings are conducted  frequently to review the activities  conducted. IQAC act as nodal agency of the institution for quality-
    related activities.

2. IQAC notices are communicated through e-mail
3. All the reports from committee coordinators and Heads of the departments are collected by e-mails.
4. Planning of the activities is done at the beginning of the academic year.
5. Students’ feedback is taken on teaching as well as facilities provided .
6. Internal  audit of  the departments as well as  activities conducted  by various  committees is done to set  benchmarks / parameters in various
    activities.

7. Preparation and submission of Annual Quality Assurance Report prior to stipulated date.
