One year IPR certificate course designed to meet the needs of working executives in the area of intellectual property rights. Executives from industry, business, trade, commerce, public and private sectors will find this weekend course useful. The course is spread over one year divided into two semesters. Each semester has five courses and the class contact hours of 300 hours that are equally spread over two semesters. The course provides an opportunity to the participants to undergo in-depth and intensive training on various aspects concerning intellectual property rights. The three broad intellectual property areas include: - patents, copyrights and trademarks. 50% of the course is devoted to understanding various dimensions of the said three intellectual properties. The rest of the courses address certain state-of-the-art issues like creativity and innovation, intellectual property valuation including the Information Technology properties viz. software and of course case studies on intellectual property rights. Another novel course titled 'Project' provides the participants with an opportunity to explore some aspect of the intellectual property rights for an in-depth research study. Participants will be provided with an in-depth knowledge in all courses explored which will be a great value addition. The learning process will be interactive in nature and will provide an opportunity to students to share their experiences of managing matter relating to intellectual property rights environment. Live case studies from a wide variety of sources India and Global, and other industries wherever required, will enable participants to get practical and lateral insights into the subject matter of IPR. The course is designed to provide the participants and faculty an opportunity to learn on a mutual basis and the learning experiences should be mutually rewarding to both the parties.
