Report of Parent’s meeting (T.Y.B.Sc –Zoology)

2007 – 2008

PTA meeting was conducted on Monday, 30^th July 2007 at 4.30 pm in Sr. lab. of zoology Department. Response of parents was very good. Meeting started at exact 4.30 p.m.  thirty parents out of 35 were present for the meeting and remaining expressed their inability to attend on the same day but promised that they will communicate with HOD as early as possible.

 Following points were discussed in the meeting.

Dr.Mrs. N.N.Patil, HOD, zoology Dept. welcomed the parents and introduced all the staff members to the parents. Parents were also asked to give their introduction. HOD explained about timetable, functioning of Dept. and pattern of T.Y.B.Sc. Syllabus.

All the staff members participated in the meeting.

Dr.Mrs. S.V.Mahajan, discussed the teaching techniques and methodology opted by the teachers and benefits of regular study by the students.

Dr. K.M.Pariya,explained the importance of study tours i.e. long and short excursions in the curriculum . He also gave tentative idea of current year’s long excursion to Bharatpur bird sanctuary and Ranthombhore wild life sanctuary.

Information about various club activities like Nature club, employment cell was given by Dr. (Mrs.) Manjramkar) .She explained how participation in extra curricular activities

help in developing personality of child.

At the end Dr. R.P.Athalye explained the importance of Yoga in development of healthy mind and healthy body, and also in increasing concentration in studies. He also suggested some easy methods for improving memory of the students. Every year Yoga facility is provided free of charge to the students by the college.

Later on Parents were asked to express freely about the various matters related with their sun/daughter education. They suggested that there should be one seminar regarding Carriers in Zoology.
