About Library:

Introduction :

Our library is situated on the Third floor with the area of 1173 Sq.Feet . It has a picturesque view at the back with Mumbra hills at the background and central railway running across. Complete cover of mangroves can be seen around the creek which flows along.
We have a very special collection in Science with many rare and important titles. Our library subscribes 28 Scientific Journals and 22 magazines. Our total collection of books is 18900.
On an average we issue about 75 to 80 books per day. Our Library started the Computerisation Process long back and and we are working on OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue). We use Libsuite software.

Sections of the Library

With a view to maximise the efficiency of the library services the library has been divided into various sections such as:
Home lending section
Library reading hall
Reference section
Periodical section

We provide reference books to the students, staff and many eminent persons in the city. Our past students are still taking the advantage of enriched collection. Our library caters to the needs of students participating in various programmes and competitions.

We have started a News Reference Desk for students. The library subscribes four newspapers - Times of India, The Indian Express, Loksatta and Maharashtra Times, for the students other than our regular subscription of seven newspapers for the staff.
