National Service Scheme (N.S.S.)

• National Service Scheme (NSS) activities started in the right earnest in the month of August 2003. 101 students are enrolled for the NSS in the academic year 2003-04.
• Our NSS students along with “Hariyali”, a non-governmental organization (NGO) of repute in Thane, participated in tree plantation and tree maintenance programmes at Kasheli, Dadlani Park and other nearby areas in Thane in the first half of the academic year.
• A blood donation camp was held jointly with our NCC students and Rotary Club, Thane on September 11, 2003 . 78 bottles of blood were collected on that day.
• In second half of the academic year NSS volunteers participated in tree plantation drive at Yeor hills and Kajupada area of Thane under the able guidance of Mr. Punam Singavi, Chairman of “Hariyali” and his team.
• Our NSS volunteers were actively involved in the organization of “Marathi Vigynyan Parishad” conference and exhibition held between December 19 and December 21, 2003 .
• Mr. Swapnil Kotibhaskar of T.Y.B.Sc. was one of the candidate selected from Maharashtra Unit of N.S.S. for World Peace Conference held at Bangalore from 8 th to 10 th December 2003 .
• Our N.S.S. volunteers participated in Polio Drive arranged by Thane Municipal Corporation in month of January 2004.

NCC ARMY (Boys)

• Our cadet Shirkrishana Joshi won the prize in Inter-directorate Quiz test at All India Level National Integration Camp in Aurangabad .
• The entire unit participated in Tree Plantation at Navi-Mumbai.
• They also cleared the debris on hills near Thane city.
• Cadets donated blood at blood donation camp.
• Cadets volunteered their services during the “Inter-University Kho-Kho Competition” held in the campus and “Marathi Vigynyan Parishad”.

NCC ARMY (Girls)

• The unit attended several camps held at Uran, Pune, Aurangabad .
• CPL. Seema Pawade participated in Group Dance Competition for which Maharashtra bagged the 1 st prize.
• Participated in Social Awareness Rally on Pollution.
