Location:-
V.P.M's Polytechnic, is situated in the Thane College Campus. and is within 10 minutes walking distance from the Thane Railway Station. One can also reach the place by auto rickshaw with minimum fare.
About the Workshop:-
Automation is encompassing virtually every walk of life. The automation solutions are required right from agricultural to space technologies. The term 'PLC and SCADA' has become
synonymous with automation. To enhance the knowledge of our participants in this high growth sector is not only a need but also a prime necessity.
Our training sessions are designed to fill the vacuum between practical knowledge and industrial demands.
The training includes :
· Programmable logic controllers
· Supervisory control and Data Acquisition software

It is a suitable academic need based training package for the staff. This value addition will also help the participants to impart integrated knowledge to their students in the most effective manner.
Objectives:
· Provide in depth theoretical as well as practical knowledge about PLC and SCADA.
· Bring polytechnic staff and industrial personnel on a common platform for mutual benefit.
Critera for Admission:-
Lab assistants/Lab technicians from Instrumentation, Electronics, and Electrical departments diploma level Institutes who have proficiency in handling of electronic equipments and computer (MSCIT desirable) are eligible to register for this programme. Maximum two entries per Institute will be accepted.
Please note that medium of instruction will be English.
Registration: -
- Participants have to pay Rs.500/- as course fee by DD payable to "Principal V.P.M's Polytechnic, Thane" along with complete registration form filled in prescribed format.
- Registration fee includes course material, working lunch and tea. *Accommodation on demand can be provided for outstation participants on payment of separate charges for the same. Outstation Participants may contact the coordinator regarding these details.
- TA will be paid for outstation participants as per the MSBTE norms.
