Mrs. Neelima Shastri - Vice-Principal Joshi-Bedekar college retires, Mrs. Leela Bhat takes charge as new Vice-Principal

With 2006 handing over the charge to year 2007, VPM's Joshi- Bedekar College witnessed Mrs. Neelima Shatri Vice-Principal of the institution handing over of the reigns to Mrs. Leela Bhat.

Mrs. N. Shastri retired as vice-principal on 31st December, 2006 after a 33 year long service . This multi-tasking personality who had skillfully headed the Mathematics & Statistics dept. of the institution, chaired, the results committee dept. and even shouldered the responsibility as an able Vice-Principal was given a well deserving farewell by the Staff Academy on 7th January, 2007.

On this occasion Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Shakuntala Singh appreciated her efforts for the upliftment of the institution by bringing the Statistics dept. under the banner of VPM's Joshi-Bedekar College, setting up the Computer laboratory etc. Prof. (Mrs.) Bhide,
Prof. Budgujar, Prof. (Mrs.) R. Natarajan, Prof. (Mrs.) G. Luktuke, and Prof. (Mrs.) R. Walujkar spoke of her as a humane, spiritually inclined person with a motherly touch. Every one credited her practise of Yoga as the secret of her success in handling multiple tasks.

On this occasion Mrs. Shastri warmly welcomed Prof. (Mrs.) Leela Bhat as new Vice-prinicpal and wished her well for her new responsibility. Prof. Mrs. Bhide was appointed as the new head of Maths & Statistics dept.

The institution wishes Mrs. Shastri a spiritually productive , retired life and the new office bearers, Mrs. Bhat & Mrs. Bhide academically fruitful years ahead.
