Þ Miss. Vrushali Prasade, Miss. Rucha Amdekar, Miss. Abha
Mutalik,
Miss. Sanika Oak and Miss. Pranita Banavali have hit
title at division level Interschool Table Tenis tournament held at St. Joseph
School, Panvel by defeating the team of Mumbai and are selected for state
level.
Þ Miss. Aishwarya Oak was successful in the following
Inter-school Basket
ball tournaments :
(i)
She
received the Best Player award in the Interclub D. B. Prabhu Memorial Basket
ball tournaments held at Matunga.
(ii)
She
represented Thane district in the sub – junior girls Inter-district Basket Ball
State Championship where the team secured second position.
(iii)
She
also represented Maharashtra State in the 34th Sub-junior Girls
National Basket Ball Championship held at Punjab and the team secured the
fourth position.
Þ Miss.
Namita Pandit from Std. VII received a cash prize for the event ‘Identification
of Animals by Tail’ competition organized by Nisarg Mela.
Þ Project done
by Mrs. Sharmila Nair on ‘Environment Education for better life’ has been
selected at National Level competition and was presented at Dehradhun. This
competition is conducted by National Teachers Science Congress.
Þ Group
of our students and teachers presented a drama ‘baMQa nak ao yaa saUr QauMdIlaa’ in drama competition held
by Shri Kala Sanstha and bagged following prizes :

Þ The Taluka level competition of the
National Children’s Science Congress
was held on 2nd October’2007. Total 119 projects
were presented out of
which 30 projects were selected. Our school presented 6
projects out of
which following 3 projects were selected for district level
competition:

between growth of plants in organic and chemical
fertilizers – Group Leader – Mast. Sharang Newalkar

Biodiversity
in the leaves – Mast. Aditya

Life Cycle
of Butterfly – Miss. Aditi

Þ Miss. Neha Pusalkar received second prize
in Janakibai Gokhale Geeta
Pathan competition organized
by Vidya Prasarak Mandal, Thane.
Þ An China Exhibition inauguration function
was arranged in the school
auditorium on 4th
October’2007 at 4.30 pm. Then, presentation was given
by China returned teachers and students. The exhibition was
kept opened
for parents and students for next 2 days.
