This year two more feathers were added in the crown of the college as permission for 3rd division of F.Y.BMS was given for the first time and to the only college in University of Mumbai. Also permission to start BCom (Financial Market) was given by University of Mumbai.

For the First time, a team of 16 energetic full time lecturers were appointed along with 14 visiting faculties and Prof. D. M. Murdeshwar as Co-ordinator by Prin. Dr. S. A. Singh and Management of the college.

To accommodate the increasing strength of the students (total 940 students) two shift working was started from this year.

Industrial visits were arranged in Mumbai area for F.Y. students and at Pune and Nasik area for SY / TY students. The places visited were production units, RBI, Stock exchange, Film city etc as per the requirement of various courses.

Two of our TY (A/C) students scored 100% marks in the subject Costing and Taxation at university exams proving quality education being imparted in the college.

"Chrysalis" an inter collegiate event of our college for self financing courses, was organised. It was the biggest, well planned and most successful event, under the guidance of chairperson Prof. Mrs. Namrata Shrivastav and Student leader Ashwin Dhakras and dedicated team of 75 student volunteers. All the full time lecturers were supporting pillars behind the screen.

Mr. Madhur Vadhavane TY and Miss Sarika Chiplunkar T.Y.Bms were adjudged as "Best Students of the college in self financing courses for the year 2008 - 2009.

G.S. of the college Mr. Harshad Chitre a S.Y.Bmm student was adjudged as "Best student of the college." for the year 2008 -2009.

I am happy to put on record, the fact that, this year's Student Council was having majority of the students representatives from self financing courses, who exhibited great event management skills at various occasions like Navarang, Gandharv etc.

For the first time in the history of the college, a dress code was introduced for the students of self financing courses with the vision of Principle Dr. Mrs. S. A. Singh which was appreciated by all.

Faculty Mrs. Purva Gaikwad was co-opted as a member of the exams. committee.

Faculty Mrs. Sumedha Naik cleared her SET and Mrs. Shaila Shrivastav completed her M.phil successfully.

I place on record my sincere thanks to the Principle Dr. Mrs. S. A. Singh for her guidance from time to time and the support given. I also thank our Vice Principals, all the faculty members and supporting staff for their help.
