Mumbai in the Bachelor Library and Information Science degree course
in the academic year 2007-08.
Miss. Pradnya Pawar
of the Department of Library
and Information Science stood second in the University of Mumbai in
the Bachelor Library and Information Science degree in the academic
year 2007-08.
Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking has
been launched from the current academic year. It
was inaugurated at the hand of Dr. Vijay Bedekar,
Chairman of Vidya Prasarak Mandal on 10th August 2008. This is the
first autonomous course of this nature started by any of the college
affiliated to the University of Mumbai.
Department of Library and Information organizes
regular study tours/visits to reputed libraries. This year B.L.I.Sc
and M.L.I.Sc. students visited libraries of IIT Pawai, TIFR, IIPS,
TISS, AIRS, BCL, SNDT University, and Mumbai University.
