The
college started in June 1969 , with the pre degree classes in
the three Faculties of Arts, Commerce & Science with 600 students
and two three storied beautiful buildings for the K. G. Joshi
College of Arts and N. G. Bedekar College of Commerce and the
third elegant structure of the Administrative Building. Our first
batch of students appeared for the graduation examination in 1973.
The college is as famous for its cultural disposition as it is
for its academic achievements. Our college has on its role a student
strength of 1658 in the Junior College and 2449 in the Degree
College .
The last
30 years have seen changes that have made our college stand
tall among it counterparts as far as infrastructural facilities
are concerned. We are comfortable and are really proud of having
two imposing structures housing our lecture halls and an administrative
building which houses the gymkhana, office of the Management
studies and our Staff Common Room.
