Department of Sanskrit  

On 4th July 2008, the Sanskrit Department celebrated Mah¢kavi KaÃlid¢sa Day. On this occassion, Prof. 'Dr. Mugdha Kulkarni, Head, Dept. of Sanskrit, delivered a lecture on Mah¢kavi KaÃlid¢sa and his literary creations.'

The students of S.Y.B.A. (Sanskrit) namely, Miss. Pooja Walunj and Miss. Aarti Raorane, actively participated in the seminar organized by K.J. Somaiya College on the topic 'Translation Methods' on 28th Aug. 2008.

The Department of Sanskrit celebrated Sanskrit Day on 27th September 2008. On this occassion, the students of the department presented entertainment programmes which included music, dance, drama in Sanskrit.

The student of S.Y.B.A. (Sanskrit), Miss. Pooja Walunj presented a paper in the Pre-conference workshop. on 20th Nov. 2008. The title of the paper is-
