Civil Defence unit of the college organised a Basic Civil Defence course in Dec. 2008.

• For training the students in First Aid Elementary

• Fire Fighting, Selfrescue and general rescue techniques, disaster management principles etc.

23 students successfully completed the course.

On Jan 29th, 2009 a one day workshop was conducted on "Basic Principles of Disaster Management" for NSS volunteers and staff of the college. Lectures were delivered by Dy Controller of Civil Defence, Thane, Shri Prakash Deshmukh, Divisional Warden of Thane, Shri Kumbhar, Sr. Assistant Dy. controller Shri. Bagat and Shri Gawade. Practical demonstrations were organised for high rise rescue methods.

NSS volunteers participated actively and expressed their willingness to Join Civil Defence, in order to prepare themselves to face any eventuality in future.
