From the
very inception of the college, our staff and students have literally
ilk elsewhere in bringing honours and laurels to the institution.
We proudly acknowledge the fact that our college is an approved
centre for Research in the subject of Philosophy and our professors
are some of the best the university of Mumbai can boast of.
The extra curricular and co-curricular scenario here is intriguingly
exciting.
In early
years Jyotsna Dev was first in the University of Poona in the
Year 1974 in B.A. with Marathi bagging five prizes and two gold
medals. The names of Rohini Sapre, Asha Singh, Viona Almedia
are those which lend glitter to the College, giving the students
and the teachers reason to be proud. They were all students
who stood first in the University in various subjects like Marathi,
Logic, Book keeping, Economics, Commerce, History etc.
From the
very beginning we had been in the forefront of sporting achievements.
In the early seventies we had Sandhya Kunte, S.A. Deshpande
etc. who were part of the Poona University Team wInning championships
and awards for the College. Devidas Patil of our Kabaddi Team
literaly took the University of Poona by storm in those days.
