Inaugural Function of JB Research Academy

The inaugural function of Research Academy was held on 10th August 2010 in Kattyayan at 11.30 am.  By lighting of lamp. Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Shakuntala Singh, who was the chief guest at the function, addressed the gathering. She stressed on  encouraging  scientific temper, research aptitude and creativity among the students.

Students member of the academy presented the report of the research project which has been carried out during 2009-10 on ‘Socio-Economic Background of Class IV Employees of VPM’s “Janana Dweepa”  The most important, this is  pioneering research rooted in the context of societal realties, The report is available on line on the web site of the institute.
Prof. Shaila Srivastava, Chairperson of Research Academy, presented the report on the activities conducted during 2009-10 and also proposed activities of the current year. Teacher member Dr. Suja Roy Abraham, Prof. P.P. Joshi and Prof. Kalpana Chandhoke were present at the function along with young researcher students. The programme attended by Vice Principal Mrs. Leela Bhat and other faculty  members.   

We are thankful to Principal Dr.(Mrs.) S.A. Singh for her guidance and  constant support. I equally thank Vice Principals (Mrs) Leela Bhat and Dr. Padmini Murthy for their valuable advice and encouragement.I express my gratitude towards my colleagues and  very special thanks to all my students members for their active participation and enthusiastic involvement in all the activities for making the programme successful.

JOSHI BEDEKAR RESEARCH ACADEMY

Joshi Bedekar Research Academy is formed to encourage and develop scientific temper and research aptitude among the students and also encouraging students - specially students of scholars academy for conducting surveys and writing `research paper.Activities of the academy include the publication of Research Review of the college containing:

1. Publications and research articles, or book reviews etc. by teachers and students.
2. Research reports / abstract of Papers presented by teachers in different workshops / conferences / seminars.

Teachers and students are requested to submit the same in the form of soft copy as well as hard copy to any one of the following teachers:
