Gandharva 2008, the achievement of students, the learning experience and the way ahead - these are some of the statements from various persons, who have been closely associated with this festival from the Joshi Bedekar College.

We look back with pride at the achievements of the festival. Almost 16 colleges participated in 16 events and the enthusiasm and efforts of the participants was worth the tiring moments put in to organize this event. The events ranged from literary, creative, theatre and performing arts - as is mentioned as "The Sangam" of various faculties associated with creativity.

The event was inaugurated at the hands of Shri Shirish Latkar - script and direction Head, an eminent personality in field of dramatices. The themes during the festival really brought out the Best in performing Arts,

The festival which is now known within the Students fraternity is always looked upon with great aura and this year too drew the maximum crowds and support of the students from across the colleges in and around Thane.

We also take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors, who supported us financially and also the teaching staff of the college who helped the students immensely. The contribution of the non-teaching and other supporting staff needs to be mentioned specifically, without which this event would not be so successful.

Our special Thanks to our guiding light, Principal Dr. (Ms) S.A. Singh, without whose support and guidance this event would not have been possible. Her keen efforts and encouragements right from the beginning of the event the key to the splendid performance and many accolades. The event which concluded on a high note and presence of Ms. Sakshi Barve Shelar as the Guest of Honour for the Prize Distribution function.
