INTRODUCTION

Vidya Prasarak Mandal like a big banyan tree branched out in many educational institutions . In 1976, the efforts of the members and the pioneering efforts of our Ex-President Late Dr.V.N.Bedekar , member of Vidya Prasarak Mandal late Shri G.N.Joshi and Late Shri.S.S.Pore and our Superintendent Late Roshan Patel Madam reaped the rewards and removed the apprehensions in the minds of the parents and then there was no looking back with these founder Members.The March was on a galloping stride.
Success and achievements were pouring in as they were in the interest of the children and parents always and they were by fair and honest means.
The pupils are housed in beautiful constructed , well lighted class-rooms with well equipped laboratories. In a very brief period students are blessed with a library of beautiful collection of books. Students spare no pains to turn over the pages.
The stars have been observed in the Galaxy of Sau. A.K.Joshi English Medium School.

PLAYWAY METHOD

When education is imposed, the child tends to have an aversion to the process of learning. The conventional method of teaching is giving way to the informal method where the children are actively involved in the learning process.

This new approach of self-learning called the Play-Way method has been successfully implemented in our Pre-Primary section since June 2001. Informal learning through Play-Way focuses on the physical, mental and emotional growth of the child making him self-reliant. Our effort is to encourage self-learning by providing simple activities for the children, which can be accomplished independently. The teacher only coordinates and facilitates the learning process.

Children learn all basic concepts through 'play' in a totally relaxed and stress free environment. Interactive multimedia tools like LCD, Smart Board and specially designed teaching aids are used to introduce Alphabets, Numbers and other concepts. Keeping in mind the adage 'Experience is the best form of learning', field trips are arranged wherein the children get an opportunity to interact with the real world and get hands-on experience. This imprints basic concepts on their young minds, which enable them to express themselves better.

We ensure that our children enjoy their early childhood through joyful learning, which facilitates overall development. The results are encouraging with children enjoying school and parents satisfied with their progress.

Monday to Friday 7.15 a.m. to 12.10 p.m
Saturday 7.15 a.m to 10.30 a.m

2) Primary [I to IV]
Timings -
Monday to Friday 12.40 p.m to 5.40 p.m
Saturday 11.00 a.m to 2.00 p.m

3) Pre-primary [Jr.K.G and Sr.K.G]
a) Junior K.G
Timings:
Monday to Friday - 10.30 a.m to 1.00 p.m
b) Senior K.G
Timings:
Monday to Friday - 1.30 p.m to 4.30 p.m
Saturday : No classes
